Northland College Scholarship/Transfer Agreement

UW-Manitowoc’s students who earn an Associate of Arts and Science (AAS) degree with a grade point average of at least 2.75 and who are admitted for transfer to Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin, will be awarded a scholarship ranging from $4,000-$7,000.  

The scholarship is one component of an agreement signed between the University of Wisconsin Colleges, the 13 freshman/sophomore UW campuses, and Northland College.  Students from the UW Colleges, who complete an AAS degree, will also be granted junior year status upon transferring to Northland College, a private environmental liberal arts college, founded in 1892.

A Northland College $7,000 academic scholarship will be awarded to any enrolling UW-Manitowoc student who has completed the AAS degree with a GPA of 3.51 or higher; a scholarship of $6,000 will be awarded to students with a GPA of 3.00 to 3.50; and, a scholarship of $4,000 will be awarded to students with a GPA of 2.75 to 2.99.  Students may be eligible for other financial assistance.
