ADMISSIONS |
Complete and return the UW Application for Undergraduate Admission form to the Student Services Office at 705 Viebahn Street, Manitowoc, Wisconsin, 54220. Be sure to sign the application. Forms are available on campus, in high school guidance offices, or by phoning (920) 683-4707. |

$35 APPLICATION FEE |
This fee is required of first-time applicants to the UW; if you have been enrolled as a degree seeking student at a UW campus previously, this fee is not required. Make your check payable to UW-Manitowoc. |
|
|
TRANSCRIPTS |
If you are a high school student, take your completed application and the $35 fee to your school's guidance office. Your counselor will see that your transcript is sent to us. If you are out of high school, simply contact your high school and have a high school transcript forwarded to us; it should be sent directly from the school. |

|
ACT ASSESSMENT |
Participate in the ACT assessment and include UW-Manitowoc (Code #046920) as one of the institutions to receive score reports. This is a required part of the admission process. Persons who have been away from school for several years may have this requirement waived, but should consult with Student Services. |

| ELECTRONIC APPLICATION |
If you'd like to apply electronically to UW-Manitowoc, theses are the steps you should follow: 1. To access the application, type the electronic application address in the location box of your browser - http://www.apply.wisconsin.edu/ OR access the UW HELP ON-LINE web site at http://www.uwhelp.wisconsin.edu OR visit the UW-Manitowoc web site which will display a link to the on-line application site - http://www.uwmanitowoc.uwc.edu. 2. Type in the step-by-step information asked for on the application screens. 3. Be sure to follow the instructions at the end of the form concerning transcripts, signatures and payment. |

PLACEMENT TESTING |
The UW System requires placement testing in English and Mathematics. Test results are used in the advising process - these placement tests have no bearing on admission. THERE IS A PLACEMENT TEST FEE. Testing information will be mailed to you after we receive an application form. |

|
REGISTRATION FOR NEW STUDENTS |
Once you have been accepted to UW-Manitowoc and have taken the Mathematics and English Placement Tests, you will sign up for a New Student Registration Session. Sessions for fall registration are held in late June. Sessions last approximately three hours, during which you will not only select courses, but also speak to an advisor, take a tour of campus, and receive important academic information. |

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION |
New students will have an opportunity to take part in New Student Orientation prior to classes |

| CLASSES START |
Fall classes typically begin the day after Labor Day, and spring classes during the third week of January. Semesters are 16 weeks in length (15 weeks of instruction, one week of exams) |

Financial Aid
Application |
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Forms are available through high school guidance offices or from UW-Manitowoc. Use completed prior year federal income tax information. If possible, do NOT complete a Financial Aid application based on ESTIMATED information. If you have questions, please contact Student Services at (902) 683-4707. You may apply electronically by using the electronic FAFSA. The website address is http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. This is the only site you should use...other sites may have fees attached. Even if applying electronically, you will still need to sign and submit an original signature to fully complete your electronic application. Be sure to print and mail the signature page within 14 days of completing the application. The Department of Education provides assistance to Web users through a customer service number at 1-800-801-0576. |

File Early
|
File your FAFSA (print or electronically) by the priority application deadline of April 1. We encourage you to file your application 2-3 weeks prior to this date. Processing will take a total of 2-3 months. |

Save All Information |
Keep a complete file of all financial aid papers. Whenever you receive requests for further information, act immediately. When you receive your Student Aid Report (SAR), or your actual Financial Aid Award Offer, contact the Student Services Office at UW-Manitowoc. |
